This Royal State bedroom has been meticulously designed and fitted out to incorporate the original grandeur of the 1820?s and 1830?s. Much of the furniture was designed under the supervision of the Royal Fine Arts Commission the Georgian Society the Victorian Society and English Heritage. Furniture draperies and fabrics were copied from 1820?s and 1830?s original museum pieces as well as from prints and information from historic archives. This room is an excellent example of neo-classical design and d?cor and capture the grace of the Regency period. It is considered by many to be one of the best rooms in which to stay. A residence designed to befit royalty and visiting heads of state. The Royal State Four Poster Room is designed for the most discerning guests. With extravagant furniture and furnishings and authentic art work the room yields stunning windows with superb views of the sea and Falmouth bay. Directions
Truro - Road: From Truro (A39) follow the signposts to Falmouth. At the Crossroads/Traffic Lights (Wine Warehouse on your left) continue straight over the lights to mini roundabout - straight over to another mini roundabout - straight over - we are then the 5th turning on the right which is Gyllyngvase Road. At this point you will see the sea and we are situated on the right. br/ br/ Truro - Train: Falmouth Town (The Dell) train station. Turn right out of the carpark and up the hill (Avenue Road). At the top go straight over and we are on the right (Gyllyngvase Road).
